A used car warranty is a vital product when purchasing a used vehicle. When buying a vehicle, the service history, inspection and MOT are provided to enable you to know the historic maintenance / requirements of the vehicle. It is able to provide you with a snapshot of how the car has been maintained and provide details around any works that would be required in the future. An example would be a cam belt replacement, the date it was last replaced or when it would need to be replaced in the future.
Without our crystal ball, no one can predict what happens in the future. A used car warranty is there to provide additional peace of mind in addition to the checks that should be carried out before you purchase a car. At Tickenham Garage we always vigorously inspect all cars along with ensuring that they are serviced and provided with a new MOT before they leave us. This mitigates the risk of having any issues, but it does not eradicate it.
Do we provide a warranty with all cars?
We provide all cars with a Used Car Warranty, with our warranty partner, The Motoring Organisation (TMO). We have used their warranty services for many years and know that it benefits customers in protecting their car – which in some cases is the most valuable asset other than their home.
A used car warranty will assist you should components fail or issues arise with the car during the warranty period (where covered within the policy terms and conditions). This is why many customers extend their cover to 36 months, enabling them to know that should an issue arise that is covered under the policy, their pockets are not going to be hurt.
What types of policy do we provide?
Our policies come in two variations. We offer Platinum for cars up to 10 years of age and Silver for cars over this. We always provide you with the information that you need in order to make an informed choice whether to upgrade to a longer term, as well as upgrading from Silver to Platinum.
If you’d like to know more about our policies, please get in touch or ask one of the team when you are with us at our forecourt.
